Uttarakhand is one of those states which is famous for pilgrim tourists flocking here from all over the world. Apart from the epic chaar dhaam yatra, the Do dhaam yatra is one of the most famous pilgrimage trips which the pilgrims take. Badrinath and Kedarnath are the two places that are the most famous ones amongst the pilgrims in India. These two places together make for a Do Dhaam Yatra and a lot of people take this trip in their lifetime.

These two places can be covered in 6 days. Here is a detailed itinerary of 6 days and 5 nights from Delhi to Uttarakhand where these two places will be covered along with some other famous places.

Delhi-Uttarakhand 6 Days Haridwar Tour

Day 1

Start with Haridwar to Guptkashi

The road trip would start from Haridwar early in the morning. The distance of this road trip is of 227 km and would take around 7 hours. The route that you will cross on this trip will also include the places like Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Srinagar. Check into the hotel on arrival to relax and freshen up.

Day 2

Guptkashi – Kedarnath

The next destination from Guptkashi is Kedarnath. Post breakfast at the hotel, start for this trip. It is a 32 km drive and 14 km trek. The drive will be early morning to Gaurikund. From there, it would be a trek to Kedarnath. You will be spending some time overnight at Kedarnath.

Day 3

Kedarnath – Guptkashi/Pipalkoti

After doing the puja and visiting temples at Kedarnath, you have to trek down to Pipalkoti again. You will be trekking down 14 km to Gaurikund. From there, you have to drive to Guptkashi and the drive will be 32 km. You will be spending an overnight stay at Guptkashi.

Day 4

Guptkashi to Badrinath

The next destination after doing Kedarnath is Badrinath. The road trip will be an early morning trip post breakfast and it would take around 7 hours to reach there. The distance of this trip is 235 km. After reaching Badrinath, you will be spending an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5

Badrinath to Rudraprayag

The next morning is spent for doing the darshan and puja at the Badrinath temple. You will be sorted early morning with this. After doing the darshan, you will start the road trip from this place to Rudraprayag. Rudraprayag is also known by the name as Sri Nagar. On arrival, check into the hotel at Sri Nagar to relax, freshen up and have an overnight stay with dinner at the hotel.

Day 6

Srinagar – Haridwar

The last spot of the trip is Srinagar. After exploring this place, on the next day check out of the hotel after having an early morning breakfast to head back to Haridwar. The total journey of this trip is 128 km and it would take around 4 to 5 hours to reach back. You can explore the place a bit in the morning as well and get back into the car in the afternoon to reach Haridwar in the early evening.
