Though they are extremely popular amongst the tourists and the travellers, the hill stations of the place are not crowded and you can always find your solace here.
Here is a detailed itinerary of 7 days and 6 nights and the places covered in this trip are Mussoorie, Chamba, and Rishikesh.
Start the road trip from Delhi to Mussoorie via Dehradun. The highway is fine and the scenes you come across are immensely picturesque so the road trip is going to be fun. Check into the hotel and relax. Step out to explore the vicinity and return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Post having breakfast, step out of the hotel to explore the famous places of Mussoorie like the Kempty falls, Mall road and the local markets. Do enjoy the Maggi at different Maggi joints and return to the hotel late evening. Have your dinner and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Chamba is the next destination which you will go on the 3rd day after having breakfast. Explore Chamba as the town has some spectacular views of the snow-capped Himalayan mountains. The distance of this journey is around 55 km and it would take around an hour to reach here. The journey is fun and fulfilling. Spend the day exploring the vicinity and spend the night in the hotel and enjoy the dinner.
Have a lazy morning breakfast and step out to explore the Chamba town. Visit the Tehri Dam and reach the hotel by the late evening to have dinner and overnight stay. Also do not forget to explore the picturesque sights of the snow capped Himalayan mountains.
On the 5th day, have a trip to Rishikesh from Chamba. The distance of this road trip is 60 km and it would take around an hour to reach the place. Rishikesh is one of the most beautiful towns of Rishikesh. Check into the Rishikesh hotel and relax for sometime. You can step out later to explore the Rishikesh town basically the nearby places. Get back to the hotel in the evening to have an overnight stay and dinner.
Have a lazy morning breakfast at the hotel itself. Post that, step out to explore the local market. Visit the most beautiful Ram Jhula to explore the beautiful sight. Enjoy Ganga Aarti at the Swarg Ashram during the evening and check into the hotel to enjoy dinner and overnight stay.
The tour ends on the 7th day and after having breakfast, check out of the hotel and return back to Delhi. The total distance of this road trip is 235 km and would take around 7 hours. So, you have to start early in the morning around 10 am to reach Delhi around 5 pm.
